All employees have a right to be safe at work. They also have a responsibility for their own H & S. Employees should be aware of the hazards in their workplace, and the important role of the H & S rep and committee – if there isn’t one it is time to change.

Slipping Up is a film that could save your life. Aimed at secondary aged pupils, it could equally be used as part of staff training. The film is accompanied by a suggested workshop and support materials.

Verbal Abuse
The unions have campaigned to raise awareness that verbal abuse should be reported. The poster can be downloaded and displayed in your staff room. You can also download a copy of a Health and Safety risk assessment of pupils. The unions can offer advice and training on this all important issue. Simply contact us for further information.
